The Stanislaw Leszczynski room
Stanisław Leszczyński (1704-1709)- king of Poland, duke of Bar and Lorraine. Stanisław Leszczyński was made a lifelong ruler of the rich province of Lorraine by king Luis XV. He was famous there as a wise and just man and was called “the good king” by the locals. He was a benefactor of artists and scientists, a charming and very well educated European, a typical aristocrat. He died at the age of 89 from burns, after his clothes caught fire from a fireplace. He lived longest of all kings of Poland.
