On 4th September 2006, the local tennis courts in Niepołomice were officially opened to the public. This superb facility opened very close to the MKS Puszcza Niepołomice stadium is the exact same place where the courts were before the war, at that time the surface was made from brick. The workers who were doing the grounds works there even found some of the old court when restoring it. The facility in Niepołomice has been perfectly drained and can be looked to as a model for similar facilities.
The facility has two courts, as well as goal posts, so that when tennis players aren’t playing, it is possible to have a game of futsal. It has been covered by artificial grass, it is extremely durable and does not require a lot of maintenance. Please remember that it is not possible to play in ‘football boots’! It is very well lit and the car park is only short distance to the courts.
If you want to take advantage of the courts, please contact the Royal Castle Hotel reception, our staff will be more than happy to help you make a reservation for the tennis courts, on a date that suits you.
